Community Fair

 
The Southside “Showcase” began in 2003 as community resource fair highlighting services offered by local nonprofits.  Today, it's vibrant community festival, attracting thousands of visitors each year with a variety of exhibits, live entertainment, interactive children’s activities, food vendors, and a farmers market..  And it's FREE!

 

NEW THIS YEAR! 

A variety of interactive demonstrations:

healthy cooking, artisan crafts, fitness, martial arts, and self-defense. 

  

40+ Vendors/Exhibitors

Community organizations, craft guilds, businesses, faith groups,

schools, government agencies located in or serving the south side.

 

Live Entertainment

12 p.m.: Habibi Dancers (Belly Dancing)

1 p.m.: Brodberg (Country/Rock)

2 p.m.: Dance for Life (Hustle/Swing Dancers)

3 p.m.: Powerlight Band (70s/80s R&B)

While you’re there, don’t forget to visit the South Lansing Community Farmers Market (held in conjunction with the fair).  Take home a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, ethnic baked goods, free-range meats (pork, beef, chicken, buffalo, and goat), Great Lakes fish, hand-made soaps, fresh-cut flowers, brown eggs, and more!  The market vendors accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Project Fresh coupons, and EBT.
