The South Lansing Community Development Association continues our work to shine a positive light on South Lansing, even through these challenging economic times.
In addition to publishing a popular newsletter, SouthLansing.Org, we continue to host the Southside's largest community festival and Michigan's largest inland sprint triathlon. In 2009, we celebrated the inaugural season of our weekly South Lansing Community Farmers Market.
Much like many of you, we have learned to do more with less. Despite these successes we can always use more help. There are several ways to make tax-deductible donations to the SLCDA:
- Cash donations are always welcome and will be used to purchase office supplies and defray newsletter costs.
- Event sponsorships are a way for you or your corporation to partner with the SLCDA and increase your corporate presence on the South side.
- In-Kind donations allow you to be creative with what you can give and help us address everyday needs. We are currently looking for the following items:
- Office supplies (printer paper, ink cartridges, pens, zip ties, shelves, post-it notes, etc.)
- Office equipment (gently used computer equipment, copiers, scanners, lamps, etc.)
- Gently used event canopies
- Your time! Do you have a particular set of skills that you think may be useful to us? Let us know. We can use volunteers with experience in graphic design, gardening, advertising, event promotions, and accounting.
