Race Policies

NO REFUNDS.  PERIOD.

BAD CHECKS: All checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged a $35 processing fee. Entrants must redeem the amount of the check and the $35 fee in cash before race day in order to compete. If you register online, be aware that Active.com will exercise its own policy for insufficient funds.  Your best bet is not to write bad checks!

LATE REGISTRATION FEE: Active.com automatically adjusts fees according to the day you register. Mail-in registration fees are determined by the date of the postmark on your envelope.  Every effort will be made to contact you and find a solution if the amount paid does not correspond to the late entry date.  Outstanding fees must be paid before you can compete.

TRANSITION AREA: For the safety and security of our participants, the transition area is off limits to everyone except racers and volunteers (wearing fluorescent volunteer shirts). Race numbers MUST be displayed to gain access to the transition area. Also, glass bottles are NOT permitted here or anywhere in the park.

ATHLETE CONDUCT: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who behaves inappropriately toward fellow competitors, volunteers, or race management staff.

TIMING CHIPS: If you lose your timing chip during the race, you must notify a member of staff or volunteer as soon as possible.  If you fail to turn in your chip at the end of the race, please return by mail or you will be billed $50 for replacement.

Parking

Parking will be assigned according to arrival time on race day.  Those who arrive earliest will park in the lot adjacent to the transition area, then in the lots at the back of the park.  When these are full, drivers will be directed to overflow parking within a quarter mile of the park entrance.  Thank you to Ingham County Parks for waiving vehicle parking fees during this event!
